Biography
Christopher Henderson is an Associate Attorney in the firm’s Labor and Employment Department. He represents towns, cities, Boards of Education, and other governmental entities in all facets of labor and employment law. Christopher has also advised on a range of municipal issues including ordinance development, freedom of information and public access requirements, and municipal powers questions. In addition to his public sector work, Christopher routinely provides labor and employment advice and counsel to Connecticut small businesses and has provided union avoidance training and collective bargaining representation to several Fortune 200 companies.
Christopher has extensive experience in public sector labor relations, previously serving as a Staff Attorney for one of Connecticut’s largest public sector unions. Prior to that, Christopher served as the Director of Labor Relations for the Connecticut State College and University system.
Christopher Henderson is a graduate of Quinnipiac University School of Law where he graduated summa cum laude. During his time in law school, he served as a Lead Article Editor of the Quinnipiac Law Review, President of the QU Chapter of the American Constitution Society, and the President of the Criminal Law Society. Christopher is the recipient of Cornelius W. Wickersham Jr. Award, the Kathy Eldergill Prize for Excellence in Employment Law, and the Distinguished Academic Achievement Awards for Contracts, Civil Procedure II, Criminal Law, Property Law, Constitutional Law, Arbitration, and Labor Law.
Christopher was selected to serve as Co-Chair of the Labor and Employment Committee of the Young Lawyers Executive Committee of the Connecticut Bar Association for the 2021-2022 bar year; Chair of Education Law for the Young Lawyers Section for the 2022-2023 bar year; and Co-Chair of the Government and Public Sector Committee for the 2023-2024 bar year. Additionally, he was elected to the Board for the Human Resources Association of Central Connecticut (HRACC) as the Emerging Professionals Director. Christopher is also a member of the JFK Foundation New Frontier Network and regularly provides pro bono services to Connecticut non-profit organizations.
