Leadership at Berchem Moses PC recently elevated Paula N. Anthony and Richard C. Buturla to Partners of the firm.

Paula N. Anthony joined Berchem Moses PC as Senior Counsel in 2016. As a member of the Labor and Employment practice group, Attorney Anthony advises private and public sector employers on a wide variety of personnel and employment matters. She has a notable record of success representing management in mediation, grievance arbitration and employment litigation, as well as extensive experience in conducting workplace investigations involving employee misconduct, violation of workplace policies, and discrimination and/or harassment complaints. Attorney Anthony is a regular presenter on labor and employment topics to various professional groups and employers. She has extensive experience in public sector legal representation, formerly serving as Assistant Corporation Counsel for the City of Waterbury, Connecticut where, in addition to managing labor and employment matters, she advised the city on various municipal issues, including land use and zoning. Attorney Anthony served as Chair of the Connecticut Bar Association’s 650-member Labor & Employment Law Section for the 2018-2019 Bar Year and currently serves on its Executive Committee. She also serves on the Board of the Human Resource Leadership Association (HRLA) as its Legislative Liaison.
Richard C. Buturla is a member of the litigation department at Berchem Moses PC. He regularly represents private businesses, governmental entities, including their elected officials and employees, insurance carriers, and third-party administrators in general litigation matters with a focus on defense of civil rights claims, premises liability actions and workers’ compensation matters. He has successfully handled such matters in federal and state court and before various administrative agencies of the State. Attorney Buturla is very active in the community. In 2018, he was a recipient of the prestigious Fairfield County 40 Under Forty Award which honors young business leaders. He is Vice President of the Cardinal Shehan Center, a non-profit organization located in Bridgeport, CT that offers a variety of programs and activities that address the educational and recreational needs of low-income families and children.
